YMCA Receives $1 Million Gift
On February 16, 2006, John Ciccarone donated $1 million to the
capital campaign to construct the new West Chester Area YMCA. The
facility will be located in East Goshen. John gave the gift in honor
of his late wife Norma E. Ciccarone, who passed away in 2003. "It is
because of his generosity and folks like him that we can continue our mission
of never turning anyone away," Robert Hall, co-chair of the YMCA's capital
campaign, said at the presentation of the donation. "Norma lives on in
his heart and in the hearts of the Ciccarone family, and now she will live on
in the heart of the new West Chester Area YMCA."
